Aljarwan appreciates the role of the United Nations on its International Day in establishing international peace and security and calls for the implementation of international efforts to disarmament

His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohamed Aljarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, stressed the importance of the role of the United Nations, which was founded 76 years ago, in establishing international peace and security. This came on the anniversary of the United Nations World Day, corresponding to October 24 of each year.

On this occasion, the President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace congratulated His Excellency the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, praising the role of the United Nations throughout its history, and Aljarwan valued the United Nations response to crises that countries cannot handle alone, wishing that the organization would receive more support to activate its role. Aljarwan added that the excessive accumulation and illicit trade in conventional weapons threaten international peace, security and sustainable development, especially if they fall into the hands of irresponsible parties or terrorist organizations and elements.
