Abdullah bin Zayed: UAE strives for enhancing the relations with Malta
Meeting the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malta, and exchanging 3 memorandums of understanding between the two countries

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has reaffirmed the depth friendly and cooperative relations that gather the UAE and Malta, and the keenness to strengthen and develop them in all fields in order to achieve the common interests of the two countries and for the benefit of their people.
This was during the meeting of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan with Evarist Bartolo, Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs in the Republic of Malta.
During the meeting – held in the Ministry General Office in Abu Dhabi – they have discussed the remarkable bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of Malta and the means of developing the aspects of joint cooperation between the two amicable countries in various fields.
The two sides have reviewed a number of the common interest issues, and new developments on both regional and international aspects.
His Highness and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malta have discussed updates of the emerging Coronavirus disease (Covid 19) and the joint cooperation between the two countries in response to its ramifications, in addition to supporting the global efforts in order to ensure sending the disease vaccines to all countries.
Prior to the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has exchanged 3 memorandums of understanding with Evarist Bartolo, Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs in Malta.
The three memorandums of understanding have included an MoU for cooperation in the Higher Education and Scientific Research Field, an MoU for establishing two countries’ Joint Commission, and an MoU between Emirates Diplomatic Academy and the Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies (MEDAC) at the University of Malta.
