Global Council for Tolerance and Peace expresses its regret at the fire of Notre Dame cathedral

The President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Jarwan deplored the horrific fire in the historic Notre Dame Cathedral in the French capital Paris.

In a statement to the Global Council for Tolerance and peace in this regard, Ahmed Al-Jarwan said the world is in pain for such a horrific incident, which has hit one of the most historic cultural and religious monuments in the world, demonstrating the solidarity of the World Council for Tolerance and peace with the Government and people of France as a result of this unfortunate incident.

The President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace said that the Council attaches the utmost importance to the preservation of such historical religious monuments because of their great civilizational and cultural symbolism not only of the French people but of the whole world.

Al-Jarwan stressed that the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace appreciated the efforts of the French authorities to control the fire, hoping that it will be extinguished with minimal damage, thus allowing the restoration of the damaged parts to preserve this cultural and historical monument.
