GCTP declares support to World Health Organization in tackling coronavirus

Abu Dhabi, April 5th, WAM, The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP) affirmed that it will mobilize all of its capabilities to support the awareness tips and guidelines issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) to address the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), expressing sincere gratitude and support to the international organization and its huge efforts and wishing it success in facing this great challenge.


That came in a letter of support sent by the GCTP President H.E. Ahmad bin Mohammad Aljarwan to Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Head of the World Health Organization (WHO).


In his letter, H.E. Aljarwan said that the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace which includes more than 70 member states from all over the world and 50 universities, organizations and personalities that work in the domains of tolerance and peace from different parts of the world, mobilizes all of its capabilities to support the guidelines of the World Health Organization in these tough times facing the world.


He called upon the World Health Organization to share the materials, instructions and guidelines related to tackling the Coronavirus pandemic with the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace so that the Council will be able to spread them among its member states, organizations and universities and the individuals who participate in the Council.
H.E. Aljarwan expressed confidence that this imminent danger will be defeated through the joint work and international cooperation among different bodies from all around the world.
